Ronaldo made an emotional return to Old Trafford last summer from Juventus, inking a two-year deal at the Theatre of Dreams.
But the club's poor display last season has reportedly encouraged the Portuguese to move on to new pastures.
Since his departure from the Portuguese league in 2003, the forward has played in the Champions League for 19 seasons consecutively, in which he contributed a total of 140 goals and 52 assists. At the age of 37, he is convinced that he is still able to maintain his quality and form for 2-3 more seasons. Hence, he certainly does not wish to miss the chance of performing in his favourite competition.
That's according to the Times, who claim the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has told United board he wants to prematurely end his second stint with the club.
